Groningen Centraal in the middle of the night.

I was going back from his birthday party, I was by bike. It was quite nice weather when I was going there by day, but unfortunatly living in the Netherlands the weather can change every minute. On my way back (which wasn't really midnight though) it was raining, it was cold and there was a lot of wind. I went after saying the last view people goodbye at Central north ( and two others) to Groningen Centraal. I couldn't cycle home in this surcomstances, I left my bike at the guarded Cycle storage. I took the buss and waited at it's platform, I realised for one of the first times how beautifull the night scenery in Groningen can be. I took a picture without the guy on the right and realised he was standing at the perfect spot for a very interesting composotion. I normally don't ask random persons to make a picture of them, first because I'm mostly to shy to ask and second I personally hate to be photographed. But whatever in this case my inspiration won from those two factors. He didn't mind it at all and it was fine to make a picture of him. Back in the buss I gave him one of my adress cards which contain my email adress + my deviantart page.

Almost three or four days after the whole thing I managed to make a set up and finished the painting a day after I made the set up. Again this is something totally different, I put all the things I learned from those past view weeks in this painting and it turned out suprisingly good, by my taste. Don't correct me on anatomic mistakes and or scenery mistakes, because it's not a painting I created to be perfect. It's an impression of the reality, which means it doesn't have to be completely perfect. Though you're welcome to point out things on my technique I appreciate every comment based on how to improve this work on a subjective way (you're not reading it wrong subjective). Because objective critizism would point out things that are wrong, which isn't in this case.

After I just finished this painting like 20 minutes the girlfriend of the guy I photographed has noted me. Which was such an incredible coinsedence, though she was very enthusiastic about the whole thing. But she probebly didn't expect me to make a painting of it so here it is! your boyfriend not photographed but portraited.
